I am Zodidi Mgxekwa I studied Environmental and Water Sciences and holding a BSc EWS Honors Degree qualification obtained at the University of the Western Cape in 2014. I am currently employed at the Department of Environment Forestry and Fisheries on contract as a Senior Administration Clerk responsible for 2015/2016 Fishery Rights Allocation Process thus; I’m exposed to various administration duties. In 2015 I was an intern in the Small Invertebrates and Seaweed Management Sector employed by the same Department; assisting with ongoing processing of fishing permits, booking of venues for meetings, taking minutes during meetings, organizing the necessary equipment’s for the meetings, drafting monthly reports and I was responsible for other administration duties. I have a BSc Honours Degree in Environmental and Water Sciences (BSc Hons EWS), this makes me a valuable asset when it comes to environmental related duties. During my years of studying BSc in EWS I have gained knowledge and skills in Environmental Impact Assessment (EIA) which is done before any project which will affect the environment is conducted. I also gained knowledge and understanding of the National Environmental Management Act and the legislation (No 107 of 1998), National Water Act (No 36 of 1998) and Water Services Act (Act no 108 of 1997). Therefore, I am certain that with the background I have I will be able to add a valuable intellectual and practical contribution to your Department.
