I am a young lady who is oozes with enthusiasm, drive, energy and perseverance. I am motivated by the passion I have for Chemical engineering and it being a sophisticated course. However as a fresh undergraduate from university I'm not limiting myself but willing to be part of any industry that can bring growth in me. My experiential learning was done at Cput as a research assistant at the CPUT research labs to complete my National Diploma. My research was based on quantifying loss of surfactant into shale materials during hydraulic fracturing. The Surfactants used were TX-100, SDS and CTAB. Adsorbents used were Kaolinite, Calcium Carbonate and Aluminum Oxide. Having passed modules such as Chemical Plant and Chemical process control engineering, Process Hazard Analysis, Chemical Process Industries, I have a very good grasp of the fundamentals of this industry, plant and process safety and loss prevention. I am currently working as a metallurgist/process engineer/ production intern for two years at a Mining and quarrying industry. My everyday duties were, still is working in the production department, which includes daily and monthly reports. I did a mass balance of the plant and production lab sampling for small and big projects for an example Dryer and Mills process optimization project. I worked at the lab to test products specifications. Production planning, monitoring plant and operators, estimates staffing, duty assignments and inventory requirements. I Monitor diesel, coal and soda ash usage and put in key performance indicators for production team. I did a course on preliminary incident investigation, Incident investigation and plant safety inspections. I do stock count, quality and control of the plant. Provide batch numbers for the plant operators, controlling final product, Coordinates manpower requirements by increasing or decreasing personnel and overtime to meet changing conditions. Together with my natural enthusiasm, positive mental attitude and resourcefulness, I believe this will stand me in a good stead to measure up to the expectations of the post that could be available in your organization. There has been a significant improvement in my interpersonal relationships skills as I have had experience in occupying some leadership positions that have enabled me to improve profoundly on my communication, organizational skills, and the team spirit to work well within a team, and to take the initiatives and lead when necessary.
