With a Master of Science degree in Agriculture Animal Sciences I have been exposed to various disciplines within the agricultural science, Animal nutrition, Feed formulation, Quality and Feed safety assurance, animal production, and agricultural research to develop into a dynamic, analytical and critical thinker. My educationally acquired areas of competence include: Livestock and Small Stock Science, Piggery and Poultry production, Animal Nutrition, Animal Health, and Agricultural Economics, Animal Anatomy and Physiology, Farm Building, Dairy Science and Technology, Beef production and Game Farming, Animal breeding and genetics, Pasture Science, Applied Biometry, Statistics, Scientific Research methodology, use of statistical soft wares and data analysis. Because my qualification has exposed me to various possibilities within the agricultural sector, I have a strong passion for animal production and food security. I am highly driven by the motive to become an academic researcher of substance value. I have been involved in research project focusing on improving monogastric production through nutrition. I have a 2 year as graduate operational nutritionist at AFGRI animal feeds in Paterson. I have worked as tutor for Pasture Science at the University of Fort Hare for a year then I was employed as tutor and demonstrator for animal science at the university of KwaZulu-Natal, where I also assisted postgraduate students in experimental design, statistical analysis and write up. I have published 8 papers on monogastric nutrition, and I have presented a poster in SASAS conference. I hope that my application meets your favourable consideration.
