With more than 19 years working experience, I have worked in a diversity of fields ranging from media to management consulting, strategy implementation and programme management. In media I learnt communications, in management consulting and strategy implementation, I learnt business operations and in project and programme management I learnt projects and programme implementation. Apart from the above, I think what certainly rates among the highlights for me was learning change management and the importance of ensuring that in every endeavour, we take along the people as well and hence the emphasis on ensuring that we win the hearts and minds of all stakeholders in all projects implemented. My belief is that in everything that we do, we have a responsibility to ensure that the baton is passed and this, among other ways, is done by ensuring that we, in everything we do, have an understudy. This is a responsibility that each of us have, I believe and without that, there is limited growth and by default limited institutional memory.
