I completed N-Dip and B-Tech in Mechanical Engineering at UJ and UNISA, respectively. Currently working for Barloworld Equipment, a large industrial company as a field technician, looking after the assembly, maintenance, and breakdown on a variety of Caterpillar equipment, operating in the mines, military, farming, and construction environment. I was awarded meritorious award at UNISA for the second overall best student (2018). Worked to install product links in the Get Connected program for a month. I work well with people and have a positive attitude towards my work and colleagues. As part of my B-Tech, I was tasked to complete a design project on a spreader beam using standard steel material. The constraints required that clamps be made from selected standard steel material, no use of chains and slings to lift a load. I had to improvise the lifting equipment in a sense that it will be faster to use for the end user, for in a case of lifting a bucket using chains clamping at four edges for greater support I had to come up with clamps that allows the end user to clamp only twice and still get the same support as the chains would give.
