I have extensive ER/IR experience in a very unionized environment. My experience is based on the mining industry. As we know the mining industry is extremely unionized, and it is not just dealing with one union; it is multiple unions of the different bargaining units. Disciplinary matters (hearings, appeal hearings) are promptly attended to as well as grievances. CCMA representation is also done in all facets (conciliation, arbitration, and conarb). I can apply, implement, interpret, and advise upon, the various labour laws effectively to ensure labour harmony in the workplace. I facilitate meetings between management and the unions so that concerns and grievances are promptly resolved.
