I am currently employed as Business Unit Human Resources Director within Stefanutti Stocks Building with 8 regions reporting into my position from an HR functional point of view; 5 of them being within RSA and the remainder in Africa (SADC). Due to its regional footprint, management occurs via a functional/operational, as well as a matrix structure. I’m a well-rounded HR Generalist, with specialist experience in most of the HR functions. From an industry perspective, I have substantial experience in the mining, construction, railway and manufacturing environments and have been operating at senior management and board level since 2004. I function exceptionally well in teams, but do equally well where I’m expected to operate independently. This is largely due to me being very goal and solutions orientated and the success of interventions that I have been involved in, either as project leader or project team member, speaks for itself. I furthermore enjoy working in dynamic and diverse environments where change is embraced and where I’m allowed to use my innovative abilities to conceptualize strategies and intervention that provide solutions and simplicity to complex issues. Strong leadership qualities and having been exposed to a multi-cultural environment, enhance my role as an HR Director and allow me to communicate and interact with employees from all walks of life and throughout all levels of the organization. A good business understanding and natural entrepreneurial flair also makes me a good business partner, rather than just being limited to functional HR.
