I have gained valuable experience as a Project Manager of an epidemiological research at the Foundation for Alcohol Related Research (FARR), where my responsibilities included but not limited to, management of community workers, implementation of the project plan according to FARR’s procedures and policies, provide assistance to community workers to achieve specific goals as set out in the project plan, ensure ethical adherence and secure informed consent from participants, oversee and check the quality of interviews conducted by the community workers, coordination of internal resources and third parties, ensure that project is delivered within timeframe and budget, provide project and budget reports to the CEO and Financial Manager. At FARR I travelled regularly across South Africa to various projects to conduct psychometrics assessments. I also lead a team of two psychometrist and managed their workflow and quality of reports. Furthermore, I have worked in a managerial/coordinating role for more than three years within a research environment. I believe my studies towards my master’s in psychology (2021) have enabled me to understand the complexities of data collection and analysis and the ethical conduct that is required during a research study.
