I have over 12 years of experience in Procurement and Demand Planning environment. I am interested in exploring different industries in Procurement/ Buyer/Supply Chain related positions. I am applying for this position because I believe the experience I have is relevant to what is required and as stated above, I would like to grow and gain experience in a different industry. I have a National Diploma in Logistics and I have previous experience working in a Supply Chain Management department as Material Requirements Planner and Buyer in various organizations including Eskom. My duties included looking after maintenance stock, ensuring sufficient stock to assist breakdown and planned maintenance. I was responsible for the cluster Critical spares. Forecasting usage for future orders and establishment of contracts. My duties also included replenishing of breakdown stock in Customer Network Centers and adjusting the ROP and recall stock that is not moving. I reported, ordered, maintained electrification stock requirements and placing orders for all their projects requirements. I had to implement cost saving measure while maintaining and exceeding the set targets. I am familiar with the SAP planning and inventory system and have the ability to balance supply and demand throughout the network. My abilities also include being able to ensure the merchandise sent out meets company standards and to make sure all paperwork is in order and updated as needed to ensure shipments are handled in an organized and efficient manner. My abilities also include scheduling and tracking deliveries and making changes when necessary to ensure customers receive their orders according to schedule. When problems arise, I have the experience, training and skills to take care of them in quickly and efficiently. As a creative and highly passionate person, I love working with different kinds of people, improving my interpersonal skills and learning more about a dynamic workplace environment. From my previous work experience I have learned how to adapt quickly and work efficiently both as an individual and in a team. I consider myself a highly innovative thinker that can think on my feet and solve problems. I am not afraid to ask questions and take initiative.
