• High level of operational and technical proficiency in drilling and blasting engineering applications and explosives manufacturing and storage facilities, both on surface and underground. • Vast experience in underground ‘massive mining’ methodology and technical/practical application thereof. Having worked on no fewer than seven (7) underground mine sites employing the use of sub-level caving, ring blasting, bench stoping and vertical crater retreat mining methods. • Vast experience in surface mining methods (gold, coal, copper, platinum, diamonds, nickel, iron ore), as well as vast experience in the technical aspects of drilling and blasting. • A high level of understanding around global and country specific legal requirements. • Intimate awareness of global ISO, OSH and SHEQ Management Systems and Standards. • An in-depth knowledge and understanding of training disciplines and requirements coupled to years of hands-on experience. • Sound business acumen. • An ability to manage technical/project and operational teams in order to deliver the desired value-adding objectives, safely. • A high level of self-motivation and dedication towards my subordinates, peers and superiors alike.
