• Health promotion in primary health level. • Assess and identify disorders of human hearing, balance and tinnitus. • Excellent knowledge of audiological screening, diagnostic, therapeutic procedure and use of equiptment. • Ability to conduct audiological assessments on paediatric, difficult to test population and general population. • Counsel patients on hearing health and management procedures. • Cerumen Management. • New born hearing screening and early hearing intervention programmes • Assessing candidacy and fitting hearing aids • Hearing assistive device trouble shooting, constructing earmould impression and good understanding of earmould modification. • Recommendation for school placement. • Ability to work well in multidisciplinary team. • Knowledge of Batho Pele principles • Administrative tasks (e.g report writing, referrals and record keeping).
