Sive Menzi matriculated at the school of commerce, "Makupula Secondary School". He finished his diploma of film studies at Film School Africa College. In his film studies, he majored in production. After his graduation, he finished a couple of International feature films "Monster Island" - Dir Mark Atkins, "Misunderstood" - Dir Don Okoli. In these films, he worked as 1st/2nd Assistant Cameraman, Camera Operator, Boom Operator and PA. Some of the films he worked on are local films from South Africa. To name few - "Lochner" Dir Juan Le Roux, "Super Cute" Dir Katie Taylor.
