I am a 26-year-old graduate of the International Hotel School with a Diploma in Food Preparation and Cooking as well as a Higher Certificate NQF Level 5 in Food and Beverage Management. I achieved a bachelor’s pass as a matriculant of Jeppe High School for Girls in 2012. Prior to finding my true passion for the culinary arts I pursued the studies of chemical engineering at the University of Johannesburg. Furthermore, I completed a certificate in banking and financial support services (NQF Level 4) through Cornerstone Performance Solutions in 2016. During my work experience in the above-mentioned fields I acquired various skills pertinent to the hospitality, retail and financial sectors. I gained experience in the preparation of pastry, cold foods, hot foods and sauces as well as plating and banqueting. I was afforded the opportunity to work as a junior kitchen manager at The Rock in Design Quarter, wherein I became proficient in the processes of purchasing, receiving, inventory control, stock rotation, stock taking and scheduling of staff. I am currently the regional pastry chef, quality control and innovations manager at Krispy Kreme. Consequent to my work experience and studies, I was given an opportunity to volunteer for Chefs With Compassion & Hospitality Cares providing 10 000 meals per week to the less fortunate. I am confident that if given the opportunity, I would certainly add value to your establishment’s needs by utilizing my knowledge and experience. Looking forward to your kind response.
