I qualified with a BA degree in Information Design from the University of Pretoria in 2017. I have always had a passion for art and design. In 2012 I won a competition for designing a badge for St. Dominic’s 90th year anniversary which led me to wanting to become a designer. I have worked on many freelance design projects over the past 5 years and this has taught me good time management and self-discipline. During my four years at university and staying in residence, I have grown as a person and learnt to be independent. I have had to deal with a wide variety of people on an individual basis and in groups in various sectors – peers, lecturers and senior management in the companies in which I did my internships. This has taught me good interpersonal skills and I am able to build a good rapport with people. I am extremely efficient and organised by nature and work extremely hard. This has assisted me in succeeding at my degree and in the freelance work I have done and it has stood me in good stead when having to deal with projects in the work place. I recently started my own freelance design company called Purple Protea (http://www.******.***
