This job offering is a solid step towards my future career as a corporate leader and marketer who understands and appreciates the industry that your company is involved in. University of Witwatersrand is one of the top tertiary institutes in Africa and believes in delivering innovative, transformative, and immersive learning experiences using generative thinking methodologies which have the power to change the whole world and I was fortunate to have enrolled for my Honours in Business Science/Marketing here. I am confident that this company also aims to deliver leaders who can fashion the future of Africa and raise the values-bar on how business is done on the continent, which is something I would love to be a part of as I grow in the company and because of this belief, I am certain that your team has a place for me too as I encompass my hard work, dedication, consistency and the ability to be well-equipped to change the world’s systems of efficiency. In 2018, I earned a Bachelor degree with a specialization in Business Management and Economics from the Nelson Mandela University. Benefiting from the broad nature of business and economics, I have been exposed to an extensive range of subjects from marketing, logistics, accounting and economics (all majors). Having studied these specialized courses, I have acquired the essential skills of systematic research, analytical thinking and information evaluation, which comes in very handy when one climbs up the ladder of academics and corporate leadership. Most prominently, these courses did not just provide a theoretical basis to business management and the efficiency of econometrics theories to the real world, they built insight into the practicality of running a business and growing the business using these principles from the ground up. I was privileged to be one of the students in my whole third year economics class to make it to stage 2 of The Undergraduate Global Awards in 2018 through an economics research submitted to the competition. I have also involved myself in many other University roles such as being a Marketing Assistant for Madibaz News, which is a Nelson Mandela University Newspaper. The position has built a confident advertising ability and exposure for me due to the internal campaigns that were rendered to students and external campaigns as well. I was also part of the executive committee of the Nelson Mandela University Gaveliers Club, which is a public speaking and leadership society. I have headed the V.P Membership portfolio for the first term, when the club was still under Toastmasters International, and continued to head as the Community Outreach Officer (COO) portfolio in our newly created club. I then enrolled at the University of Witwatersrand for an Honours in Bcom Business Sciences/Marketing, whilst working part-time for an International Company named Elevate Education. This job as an educational presenter has been an elevation in terms of my public speaking skills, working with people, time management, and accountability and strengthened by passion for teaching. I was also privileged to work at the Engen filling station in Giyani Limpopo from 2016, together with the Mayoni MW Trading Enterprise and have enjoyed every minute of it. I have also been the deputy chairperson for the School of Economics and Business Science (SEBS) and an Academic Officer, which has sharpened my serving and leadership skills to 8000+ students. With all this leadership, communication and dedication background, I believe I am a suitable candidate for this job. I believe I bring an immense amount of innovation and passion to the company, which can be cultivated to increase the performance of the entire company at large. All the activities that I’ve been involved in are people oriented, leadership driven and service bound, which clearly shows my ability to work in groups, analyze case studies based on the real-world scenarios, to communicate effectively and to achieve beyond expectations. I look forward to receiving a positive response. Sincerely, Rixongile Nobulelo Ngobeni
