I am a qualified (Red Seal) Fitter and Turner with at least 25 years’ experience in the Mining and Engineering sectors. Previous employers include Anglogold Ashanti, Grinaker LTA, Vantage Goldfields (MIMCO), Simmer and Jack, Pan African Resources and Sonae Arauco. I have experience as an underground fitter, plant fitter and maintenance (shutdown) fitter. My responsibilities as a fitter included (among others): • Pipe and valve installation and maintenance • Conveyor belt installation and maintenance • Coupling, jaw crusher, ball mill, gear boxes, crushers maintenance • VAGA, ARO and Sand Piper pumps installation and maintenance I believe I will be an asset to any company in my capacity as an experienced Fitter. I am diligent, dependable, able to work under pressure, work safely and efficiently in any environment, be it underground, plant or the general engineering sector. I am prepared to work on a permanent, part-time or contract basis. I am willing to work overtime, shifts and under any other conditions as required. I take pride in my trade as a Fitter and I work well alone or as part of a team. I also spent a significant period as acting foreman and chargehand in a supervisory capacity. I am willing to relocate and start immediately should an opportunity arise.
