I am skilled occupational health and safety professional who specializes in safety management and overseeing safety / health regulatory compliance and enforcement, My knowledge and expertise positions me to valuably contribute to your organization. I am a qualified professional with a B-Tech Safety Management (NQF 7) degree, a Postgraduate (NQF 8) diploma in Project Management and currently completing a Master of Science (MSc) in Construction Project Management (NQF 9) at the University of Witwatersrand. As a practising risk management and occupational health and safety professional with immense knowledge in risk management and occupational health and safety matters, I have the necessary operational experience in the key responsibilities of safety management and I will contribute to the building of an effective and functional safety management functionary. I have held various roles in the SHERQ field including as a SHEQ Manager in which I had input in the following functions: Strategic Management SHERQ, Security and Facilities wherein:  I have developed, implemented and continuously ensure compliance of the CD Disaster Management and Fire & Rescue Services to the SHEQ policies and my efforts have been of huge success to the department and this have earned me the recognition and praise of both my management and peers. Operational Support (Business Process) As a former employee in the Gauteng Department of Cooperative Governance and Traditional Affairs, I was tasked with ensuring the operational support and risk management to the Disaster Management and Fire & Rescue Services by ensuring that Risk Management and SHERQ systems are in place to enable a safe operational environment. Financial management As a former SHERQ Manager in the Gauteng Department of Cooperative Governance and Traditional Affairs, I was responsible for budgeting and execution of prudent and proper management of SHERQ budget in line with the Public Finance Management Act, 1999. Project Management As a SHERQ and Facilities professional, with a Safety Management B-Tech (NQF 7) I am involved in managing projects in the unit and this necessitated a need for formal training in project management and I am now qualified project professional with a postgraduate diploma (NQF 8) in Project Management and currently pursuing a Master of Science (MSc) Building in Construction Project Management (NQF 9) at the University of Witwatersrand. As a project management professional I will be able to execute the following:  Facilitate the functioning of the departmental Occupational Health and Safety & Risk Management Forum.  Properly and timeously communicate relevant information to equip the relevant stakeholders to identify, assess and respond to risks.  Ensure submission of accurate and timeous risk management reports to all departmental management structures.  Manage the resources within the Risk Management Unit Stakeholder Relations As a former SHEQ Manager it was my responsibility to engage (on a daily basis and on project by project basis) with various stakeholders on safety projects and project risk management in the Chief Directorate Disaster Management and Fire & Rescue Services. Quality Management As a holder of a specialist quality systems management certification, Quality Management Systems ISO 9001:2015 obtained from South African Bureau of Standards (SABS), I have and continue to do so, implemented a quality management system in the Chief Directorate.
