have more than a decade of experience in communications, journalism, editing, writing and media management on a multitude of platforms. Currently, I'm an Output Editor for E-News Channel Africa. I direct writers, producers, reporters and anchors to create and manage a series of news bulletins that are broadcast on eNCA's 24 hour News Channel. It also involves, editing, writing, fact-checking, research, performing quality control checks, maintaining relationships with media contacts and supervising and training. Additional job functions also extend to television reporting, executive producing and editing. I previously worked at the SABC, which laid the foundation for my numerous skills. My communication proficiency is excellent and I have a flair for creating unique ways of getting the intended messages across. I've also garnered experience in a corporate communications environment at the University of South Africa. My time at the university's corporate communications and marketing department honed my skills in brand promotion and awareness, stakeholder engagement and management and how to best position the institution through communication and marketing awareness. My multitude of computer skills extends to Dalet for TV, Final Cut Pro, Microsoft Office, Photoshop and Adobe InDesign. Over the years I've covered a number of business issues and events such as the 2012 Budget Speech at Parliament and the 2011 World Economic Forum. Interviewing techniques and asking critical questions is a strong facet of my skill set. Pravin Gordhan, Rob Davies and Ebrahim Patel are just a few of the Government Ministers I have personally interacted with. I'm currently pursuing a National Diploma: Management through Unisa. Pursuing this qualification has given me greater insight into economics, business and how various industries in South Africa function.
