Praven is a seasoned professional who has worked in different global environment and his experience in developing and managing portfolios span a vast number of sectors including education, telecommunications, IIOT & smart tech, financial sector, commercial, student accommodation, residential, local authorities, aviation, large infrastructure, IT infrastructure (Data centres), retail, institutional organisations and city regeneration. In addition to Praven’s excellent entrepreneurial and innovative nature, he is experienced in business development, company turn arounds, risk mitigation and has a vast knowledge in the operational aspects of managing a portfolio successfully. Praven is the visionary and founder of PDNC [Property, Development, Networks and Consultancy] which was established in August 2018. Praven specialises in Asset Optimisation by implementing best practices that he has gained globally from a multitude of clients’, industries and sectors. Praven’s key focuses are in identifying untapped value, over exposed costs, inefficient optimisation of the asset & invention and operational effectiveness on the Real estate Assets within our clients’ businesses. We evaluate the portfolio’s impact against P&L and balance sheet on all types of property asset class to improve or adjust the portfolio to align with core businesses planning and needs. Prior to founding PDNC Group, Praven was appointed as the Group Executive of Corporate Real Estate Services (CRES) of Telkom Group, which he established and managed the largest property portfolio of a listed company in Africa. The portfolio consisted of 22 million sqm of land and 2600 properties across South Africa. Praven’s portfolio consisted of but not limited to, asset & property management, facilities management, developments, IT, passive and active security, investigations, sustainability and energy management. Following the successes of the division, Praven envisioned commercialising this service offering. He was instrumental in driving this vision and forming the new subsidiary within the parent group. The NewCo comprised of 3 business lines which focuses on property development & real estate management, telecoms mast & towers & data centres and built environment consultancy. During build, transition and inception of the NewCo, Praven assumed the lead role in the transaction. Following the inception of the company, Praven was appointed as the Chief Commercial and Property Officer leading the teams in building and operating the three lines of business. Prior to his position as GE, Praven was an Accountable Director of the African division of Mace Group, a global consultancy group. Praven was instrumental in establishing and positioning Africa on the map as one of the 4 strategic global hubs [Europe, Asia, Americas and Africa]. By Praven driving the business, the African division grew significantly in a short space of time establishing 6 country offices and working in 12 countries across Africa. In addition to his internal company duties, he lead teams advising large Blue chip clients operating within Africa and the rest of the world. The teams advised and executed on strategic, governance, commercial, portfolio, procurement, procedures and programme / project delivery required to ensure global standards are maintained or exceeded. Prior to returning to South Africa, Praven worked in the United Kingdom in property development, consultancy and construction environments. Praven experience was gained from successfully implementing signature projects ranging from the 2012 - London Olympics, Leeds city regeneration, Stanstead Airport extension, numerous multi-use developments, universities, local authority portfolio management to skyscrapers that changed the London sky line. Having the benefit of working in the business, construction, commercial and design arenas makes Praven adaptable, responsive and effective as he is able to facilitate multiple roles. This has allowed him to work successfully on strategic and operational initiatives throughout the world. Praven is a seasoned leader who has a collaborative yet firm approach to ensure that the team works together and can quickly understand the business and client needs to prioritise deliverables accordingly. His excellent business acumen has ensured sustainable profits and business growth. His keen negotiation skills and delivery focused approach has ensured initiatives remain within budget and programme in challenging environments, to either maintain and improve margins.
