I Lead, assist in all Health, Safety, Quality and Environmental ( SHEQ ) functions in a manner that protects the company, employees, customer and assets, against losses, injuries and accidents by the developments and enforcement's of safe work practices/ programs. Evaluate and maintain safety compliance with our Principal contractor and Group Five in all areas relevant to SHEQ. Implement and maintain hazards / aspect and risks, impact awareness and campaigns. Implement, assist and prepare all internal and external audit processes for the projects and all other areas of concern, report the performance of these audits to management and the regional SHEQ Coordinator on a monthly basis. Implement assist and control SHEQ Risk Assessment’s and make recommendations for improvements as required by OSH ACT and Site Manager. Ensuring that all the SHEQ requirements are adhered to, including the issuer of PPE with the objective of achieving the target of zero accidents, incidents and property damage. Coordinate report and control accurate record keeping related to SHEQ statistics and either participate or cheer on all accidents, near misses as and when they occur. I also capture the information and send it to relative personnel. Ensure all SHEQ procedures and Policies are implemented, operating effectively and all personnel are fully engaged and trained in this process. Participate in daily, weekly and monthly as required by site management, client and head office. Assist with the COIDAct, implementation, reporting and compliance. Ensuring that all SHEQ objectives and for Group Five are rolled out and effectively implemented at areas of responsibly. Safety and risk results meet target, conduct legal inspections as agreed. Risk assessments identification of all hazards. Recommended control measures are effective, Appropriate legal advice and documentation provided as requested Safety training meets legal requirements, Safety standards, working guides, procedures and codes of practice meets requirements of, Emergency preparedness programs are effective, safety and risk control and initiatives are developed and managed, in order to support the legal compliance of the site. Implementation of initiatives and processes to prevent injuries, ill health, environmental pollution ( i.e.) focusing on (pro-active rather than re-active)to enhance a culture of SHEQ awareness and good practice for the well- being of all employees. Drawing up Fall Protection Plans, training and ensuring they are adhered to. Assist with the collection and correct reporting of all SHEQ statistics and information required from Group Five Pearls Sky site, client and contractors on site for the quarterly sustainability reporting in Group Five. Ensuring compliance with all statutory and other requirements (i.e. Legal appointments, Driven machinery, Lifting equipment, etc.) perform and always adhere to the legal duties OSHact and Construction regulations.
