Fred Meier, born in 1960, is a fulfilled family man who’s personal mission is as follows: ‘I inspire myself and others towards happiness, positiveness and total fulfillment’. He has a BSc (Wits) and Hdip Personnel Management from Wits Business School. He is a CEDR (UK) accredited Mediator and a UCT qualified Executive Coach. He has worked as Human Resources and Industrial Relations Director in various companies and recently served on the board of Imperial Logistics (20 000 staff) and some of the subsidiary companies including Tanker Services. He is much involved in the Logistics Industry, having been Chairman of the Road Freight Employers Association and currently also Chairman of the National Bargaining Council for the Road Freight & Logistics Industry since 2014 (120000 employees). He is and has been an Independent Chairman and Trustee on many employee benefit funds as well as having served on the Imperial Medical Aid for a decade. Having recently retired from the corporate scene, he is currently consulting in the Logistics, mining and security industries in HR, Labour Relations, mediation, coaching and employee benefits. He has conducted numerous mediations as a Conciliator for the Bargaining Council and as mediator in the workplace as well as having completed numerous coaching assignments at Leadership level in particular.
