Having started my studies in health, beauty and alternate therapies, my career progressed from being a beauty therapist at sorbet face and beauty professionals to performing alternative therapies on patients at NetSense through various Netcare hospitals. It was during this time that I gained insight into the industry of healthcare administration and changed careers to doing ICD10 coding in an emergency unit. There I obtained a keen interest in practice administration, billing, interacting with various medical aids, doctors and patients. I have a passion for ICD coding which extends beyond billing whereby I attended PHISC/ ICD 10 meetings in order to have a deeper understanding of coding. I pride myself on the quality of my work and feels I am of great value to any practice given the latest changes in ICD10 regulations.
