Aquaculture specialist with a strong research and statistical background. Like the majority in Africa, I started my life in a hut, BUT, thanks to hard work, opportunity and science I completed my PhD developing systems to convert a Fortune 500 company’s effluent into fish, vegetables, and discharge quality water. This is a powerful personal demonstration of the transformative power of science in the creation of opportunities. Passion in the development and implementation of technologies that enhance food security through wastewater benefaction in such a way that we create food, wealth and environmental health. Clear public speaker and can speak from personal experience about the transformative opportunities my science has in creating opportunities and wealth in Africa and the world. Able to communicate at all levels in our society, understanding how to communicate at the grass roots rural level, to local government, national government and amongst my scientific peers globally.
