I am a Medical Technologist by profession, worked for the ECDOH and NHLS for 30 years, 8 of which were as Business Manager in the former Transkei area. I've volunteered as Board member at Siyakhana Child and Youth Care Center in Butterworth in 2012-2013 - secretary. I was appointed to be Board member at NHLS from 2015-2018. I started my own business, a Restaurant from 2014 -2020(2014-2018 as Maxis Franchisee). From my previous experiences, I've learned and acquired good interpersonal skills, negotiation skills, leadership skills, customer service skills. I can interact with people from different levels of society and hierarchy. I've managed operations and a number of staff 55-60 in 16 laboratories, organized and managed transport logistics for 200 feeder clinics to our laboratories. Liased with Hospital management in the area, local municipality health districts up to the Provincial Health District.
