I started my career in an insurance industry: Metropolitan Life from January 1999 to 30 September 1996 and Old Mutual from 01/10/1996 to 30/03/1999, respectively. At the time, I was busy studying Bachelor in Commerce (Accounting) degree part-time. My goal was to get into a finance related position to complement my studies. I managed to get Trainee programme at Woolworths Financial Services in April 1999. After graduating from the programme I got the position as Assistant Financial Accountant in September 2000. In February 2005, I moved to Woolworths Head Office Finance as Financial Controller - Creditors. I stayed there for 17 months and got the senior position as Debtor's Accountant in 01 July 2006 until December 2007. In January 2007 I got another senior position as Treasury Accountant which came with people management responsibility. I managed 9 people there successfully. While in that position, I was offered an opportunity to study Post Graduate Diploma in Management Practice at UCT. During this time, I was exposed to people from other areas of the business and I developed interest in planning. After successfully finishing this 18 month programme I pursued a career in planning. In January 2011, I moved into Clothing as Trainee Planner which I finished it off in Foods in October 2012. In November 2012, I was offered a position as Planner: Pet Food which I held it for 2 years and 2 months. In February 2015 until 26 April 2017, I was moved to the next level in Planning where I planned both Pet Food and Cleaning & Laundry departments. I left employment in April 2017 when my mother was very sick and had supplementary income from Network Marketing in various companies. I also volunteer as National Treasurer in Non-Profit Organization: Mhlanga Development Forum, which I render my service over my spare time. I now feel that I am ready to offer my skills on freelancing basis to other companies, as well.
