By way of a brief introduction, I am a Civil Engineering Technologist, professionally registered with SACPCMP as a Professional Construction Project Manager since 2005. I have experience with infrastructure projects, including various structures (including 3 bridges), reservoirs (2), low-cost housing (3), pipeline projects, roadworks and IRT bus stations during my 10 years with GIBB Engineering and Architecture. In addition, I also have almost 30 years experience with both the Roads and the Sewerage departments of the City of Cape Town, where I was involved with design, construction and 3 years of structural design. More than half of this time was site supervision of typical municipal engineering work of a civil nature, including piling and bridges. I am used to dealing with the strong personalities often encountered in the construction industry and I would consider myself strict but fair in my dealings with contractors.
