I completed my electrical engineering diploma in January 2019 and got my first placement at a small electrical engineering consulting firm in June the same year. I was responsible for electrical engineering designs, producing bills of quantities and overseeing the electrical construction work for these projects. Most of my design drawings were produced using AutoCAD 2018 but I also have experience working with Microstation. Through my experience at the small firm, I have developed a diversified range of skills and good insights in the engineering design field, yet somehow I still feel I have a lot more to learn when it comes to technical skills. Naturally, as a person who believes in continuous improvement, I am always keen to learn more through research and mentorship to develop my competitiveness as an electrical engineering technician.
