I have a wide variety of skills and the ability to accept that I can always learn more. This is because I get involved in every aspect of what I do. I am a lateral thinker, I am creative. Being a hands-on person is my greatest strength as there is nothing I love more than getting my hands dirty (figuratively & literally), finding a solution and making a plan to make something work. Currently I am an active Greenpeace Volunteer; I have attended the induction twice and the NVDA training. During lockdown our Jhb volunteer group have strategised online digital activities for the remainder of the year. These include weekly posts that are posted on Facebook. Daily Hot topic Memes, #New Normal, #Did You Know, #Meat Free Mondays & #Take Action Tuesdays, #Water Bottle Challenge and the online flash mob video in support of the Kenyan ban on plastics. We will also be introducing Facebook Watch parties and live feeds. These weekly topics are discussed and agreed upon in our volunteer zoom meetings. All the design work and information sourced is done by the volunteers in their personal capacity. The topics for content creation are suggested after I have analysed all the data available and submitted graphs of past activity of the categorised posts. I have attended various webinars and courses that have been offered through Greenpeace open academy. These include the Greenpeace volunteer leadership course 2020, Street Classrooms 2020, Social Media training and various other webinars hosted by Greenpeace International. Over the years I have developed excellent organisational and admin skills by undertaking challenging tasks. I enjoy designing content and utilising Facebook analytics to gain maximum audience engagement for my personal crafts Facebook page. I enjoy analysing, compiling and displaying data in creative ways. Personally, I am a natural at motivating people, finding unique strengths in every person I meet and helping to tap into their abilities. Seeing things in a positive way and using this to empower and increase productivity, learning from those who have something to offer.
