Started my career as an assistant in a fabric agent environment then was head hunted as a fabric buyer. My next step was a garment sourcer for a major retailer where I spent most of my career. Had the opportunity to work abroad for nearly 2 years as a merchandiser and on my return was uncertain about what direction I wanted to go and enjoyed my time being an assistant is the retail sector. Eventually I ended up in a senior merchandiser position at an import agent company and got retrenched due to Covid 19. I have outstanding computer literacy with excellent communication skills. My negotiation skills have led to many successful relationships with local and international suppliers. I pride myself in having the ability to work extremely well in a team as well as being able to operate at optimum levels under pressure. To be able to thrive in an environment where I can learn and am able to impart knowledge is an important part of my day. The ability to fit in and adapt to any surrounding as well as the extensive knowledge I can add makes me believe that I can be a valuable asset.
