Musa is a dynamic, highly skilled and experienced professional, offering more than 16 years’ experience in the banking industry and more than 6 years in the telecommunication industry with a good track record in risk management, business analysis, business planning, developing and executing operational strategic objectives and projects. Musa’s practical experiences include research, business process improvement, customer experience management, competitor analysis, team leadership, marketing and product development, business analysis, business planning, strategy formulation and execution, corporate insurance management, business continuity planning and enterprise risk management. During his time as a business analyst at FNB, Musa played a key role in the successful development and implementation of the banking products and services aimed at the student, graduate and young professional markets. During his tenure as a Business Integration Manager at Standard Bank Africa, Musa led a team of professionals that was instrumental in the implementation of projects, more especially, the development and successful implementation of alternative banking service delivery channels in 11 countries in the African continent. As an Enterprise Risk Manager for Cell C, Musa developed and implemented risk management policy, risk management framework, business continuity management programme, and operational policies aimed at ensuring effective management of risks and compliance with regulatory requirements. Musa is a strategist who always has energy to interrogate the assumptions underpinning the strategy not only to identify strategic risks, but also with the view to find opportunities to improve. During many years spent in the banking industry and recently more than 6 years in the telecom sector, Musa developed good understanding and practical experience of risk management and knowledge of the regulatory environment in both banking and telecom sectors. Musa is a member of the Association of MBAs (AMBA) – a professional membership association that connects MBA students and graduates, accredited business schools and MBA employers throughout the world. Musa is also a member of the Institute of Risk Management of South Africa (IRMSA) – a professional body for risk management practitioners.
