I have experience in design of civil engineering infrastructure and services, and have completed my B Tech in Transportation Engineering and registered as a professional. In 2003, I started working at Specialised Road Technologies as a Civil Trainee Technician then moved to Siyazi Transportation Services and worked there as a Civil Technician for a period of a year. While studying for my B Tech I started work at Virtual Consulting Engineers now known as Delta Built Environment Consultants as a Civil Technician and was involved in the design of civil services and mining infrastructures. The designs are mostly carried out from Civil Designer and AutoCAD Software. I am responsible for the project delivery processes from inception to close out on various projects. Then I went to Nurizon Consulting my designation was for Senior Engineer doing civil design work and contract management. My field of expertise is on Transport Engineering and other additional work that I also work on involves contract administration, supervision of the construction processes, ensuring that there is quality compliance to standards and specifications, and scheduling of works. I am currently working as a civil maintenance engineer at Airports Company South Africa ensuring that the business achieve a high level of asset availability, reliability and operational usage with minimum cost. By maintaining all pavements, runways, taxiways, service roads, stormwater infrastructure and weeding grass where necessary. Working on the project costs, performing quality inspections, checking works are executed as per SLA.
