As a highly motivated and dedicated Safety Officer with strong communication and interpersonal skills, I would like to apply for the position of SHE Officer. As a Safety Officer with more than 2 years experience I have been extensively involved in some big projects, which has allowed me to develop strong interpersonal skills. My involvement in various projects, including volunteering at some companies, has allowed me to work closely with my colleague. These experiences have allowed me to develop strong time management and organisation skills, which I see being very important when seeking to work with casual employment and ensuring their health and safety. In my role, I am responsible for developing and implementing OH&S and risk management initiatives, both site-specific and across the business. It is my responsibility to ensure that all OH&S systems are up-to-date and adhered to by all employees. A big part of my job is to conduct OH&S training across the business, covering chemical manual handling, first aid, PPE, emergency procedures, risk assessments, accidents and incidents investigations and other safe work practices. I am fully qualified, with SHE Incident Investigator Skills Programme and SAMTRAC certificates. It is my goal to complete NEBOSH certificate and Welder QUALITY CONTROL in the near future as part of my commitment to professional development. I make point of keeping up to date with changes to OH&S legislation. I am driven to help organisations make their workplaces as safe and health as possible, and I thrive in a stimulating and dynamic environment .
