I have completed my BSc Chemical Biology degree this past December 2020 at Stellenbosch University. I have gained a wide set of skills throughout my tertiary education, ranging from basic computer programming and building of models using Visual Basic, Python and Mathematica, data analysis, scientific writing, and hands-on laboratory experience. I was trained in protein purification techniques, chemical hazard analysis, and good laboratory practices. I have also gained experience with HPLC, GC, UV-Vis Spec, IR Spec, MS and NMR, as well as enzyme activity assays and microbiology techniques. My experience as a cashier at Cash Converters has taught me the importance of communication between the customer and the company, as well as how to adapt and overcome any issues that arises. I am extremely passionate about science and have a strong work ethic. My appreciation of science was deepened by my experience as a private physical science tutor to a grade 12 pupil, and it has taught me how to effectively communicate and share my skills for the improvement of others. I have my own code B vehicle license and reliable transport, and I am available to work as soon as needed.
