I am currently serving as a lecturer in the Department of Social Work in the School of Applied Human Sciences (UKZN), with ten years of experience in academia. A qualified social worker registered with the SACSSP. I hold six post-matric qualifications (MA and PhD in Social Work; BA Soc Sc; Hon BA in Psychology; B Tech: LRM & B Tech: HRD and various short-term programmes: Employee Wellness, Strategic Management & Marriage Guidance & Counselling & HWSETA Assessor Certificate). I am currently enrolled for the LLB programme. I have the working knowledge of legislative mandates and policy frameworks pertaining to Criminal Justice System, Higher Education and Labour Relations. I am conversant with the research-related processes, including the data analysis instruments (SPSS, http://www.******.*** & NVivo). I regard myself as a self-driven and a results- oriented individual, with acumen for both, teamwork and independent functioning, and believe in life-long learning. I have demonstrable skills in facilitation, co-ordination, organising, report writing, monitoring and evaluation, computer literacy and interpersonal skills, amongst others. I also embrace practice related skills, such as Reflective Practice, Problem Solving, Analytical thinking, Creativity, Managing Change & Diversity, Customer Care and People Management & Development.
