I am a very dedicated, hardworking person who strives to do the best in everything I do. I embrace challenges as I know that it brings forth growth (emotionally and intellectually) and it molds character. Change is the only thing that is constant in life, therefore embrace it and make it your own. I am a very fast learner and enjoy learning new disciplines whether that be part of my portfolio and or completely new. My inquisitive personality contributes to the fact that I can be part of any team in an organisation, as I understand the role of each department within the Organisation and how Human Resources I am able to motivate myself, and thus pushing my abilities to the out most. I thoroughly enjoy working with people and strive to assist where I can. Problem solving comes naturally and strategic planning/ thinking ease-up workload and gives structure to every department within a Company. Currently I am employed as part of the Senior Management team at a Group of Companies as Group Human Resource Manager/ Executive responsible for 5 Entities within the group, with a staff compliments of aproximetly 1750 employees. My mission as the Group Human Resource Manager is to maintain a fair, equitable, and positive work environment for all employees, in support of the mission of the organization. It is based upon the belief that the success of any organization, and its ultimate value, is primarily dependent upon its people, and that the development of the greatest potential for each employee will create job satisfaction and career opportunities for individuals and provide maximum benefit to the organization. This has been done by means of implementation and standardisation of processes, procedures, reports, policies and procedures. I have been a delegate on the Gauteng Furniture Bargaining Council for the past 9 years, and have been serving as a delegate on the KZN Furniture Bargaining Council for the past 4 years, and recently been appointed as a delegate on the Cape Town Furniture Bargaining Council. I have extensive IR knowledge and have been part of the wage negotiations teams with both the Gauteng and KZN Furniture Bargaining Councils since appointment as delegate. The Manufacturing environment is highly unionised and I have great relationships with shopstewards and Union Officials. I have dealt with strike situations before, up to the extent where ultimatims was issued, Court Interdicts obtained en employees dismissed. Payroll formed part of my portfolio and I was very closely involved with the implementation of the new payroll system and blue print writing thereof for the Group Holding Company. With regards to BBBEE I have implemented processes and procedures with the CFO to ensure that all information per Enitiy is verified correct before uploads on the BBBEE system and that internal audit controls are in plays ensuring that we have improved on our BBBEE status based on the new codes.
