I have experience with vegetation monitoring and environmental assessments in a variety of habitat types, to assess plant diversity and dynamics in these systems, in relation to other environmental variables like soil quality, animal interactions, and climate. I have been introduced to a variety of environmental and ecological avenues, such as geographical information systems, freshwater quality assessments, alien vegetation management, diurnal and nocturnal faunal surveys, bird atlasing, floral and faunal identification, seed collections as well as capture and release operations. My collective work experience has provided me with a variety of skills in scientific research, which involved vast amounts of field and lab work as well as the ability to analyse and address issues at hand pro-actively. I am enthusiastic to expand my knowledge and experience with regard to biodiversity conservation and environmental management and I believe that working at your organisation will open many doors for my career path as an ecological researcher.
