I graduated with a BA Human Resource Management degree from the University of Stellenbosch in December 2020. I majored in Industrial Psychology, Sociology and Public and Development Management. I am looking for a HR internship position. While I studied, I also worked as a part-time waitress as well as a babysitter. These experiences have prepared me to work with people from different cultures and backgrounds and to be able to work under stressful circumstances. I have thoroughly enjoyed being a waitress and would like to apply the people skills, knowledge and natural flair towards interacting with people that I have learnt to date. I understand that even with my degree, I still have a lot to learn and I am willing and able to follow directions and perform a variety of tasks to gain the experience I need to advance my career. I have exceptional verbal and writing skills and the ability to listen carefully and to observe how procedures and duties are carried out. My observational skills also make it possible for me to learn from sitting in on meetings and interviews. I understand HR strategies and all the labour laws and regulations associated with the HR department. I have outstanding public relations skills with the ability to work with people from different cultures. I also have the ability to work in a fast-paced, high stressful environment while maintaining a friendly and professional attitude.
