Dear Hiring Manager As per my attached CV, I recently completed a BSc. Honours in Quantitative Risk Management Degree at the Potchefstroom campus of the North West University. During my time at University I completed modules such as financial engineering, quantitative risk analysis, probability, sampling theory, statistical inference and data analysis, as well as time series analysis. I am someone who is hard-working, self-motivated, I pay attention to detail, I am comfortable to work under pressure and have good time management and critical thinking skills. The skills and knowledge I have learned up to now, I am positive and looking forward to be a valuable asset to the company. During my time as an undergraduate student, I did well in most of my modules and I obtained an average of 64% for the whole duration of my undergraduate studies. Even though there were challenges here and there, the challenges were not as significant to an extent where it had a negative impact on my studies. With hard work and determination, I managed to pass my degree in time. However during my honours studies, I had no full-time bursary for financial support. With the financial strains, I struggled with the basic needs such as food, accommodation and text books. With the financial challenge I was stressed, and it was difficult to focus on my studies. I ended up not making it for the following modules: BWIN611 which is Quantitative Risk Analysis 1, BWIN621 which is Quantitative Risk Analysis 2 and STTN622 which is Statistical data analysis-Time series models at the end of the year. As someone who never gives up, I decided to continue with Honours in the year 2018 so that I can finish what I have started, and fast forward the end of the year 2018, I managed to achieve my honours, and I am now a BSc. Honours Quantitative Risk Management graduate. Thank you for your time and consideration I am looking forward to the opportunity in meeting you and discussing my application further Yours Sincerely Lerato Molupane
