About Kayla

I have a degree in Corporate Communications and have done social media management and content design for 3 companies, including my own small business. As I solely manage all marketing efforts for my business and others, I am proficient in Photoshop, Adobe Spark, Facebook Ads Manager, and Creator Studio. I love social media and use it every day and am therefore comfortable with technology and social media, and eager to learn and grow my skills. I am very confident in my ability to create content that reaches the goal of the post, whether it is to encourage engagement, generate more sales, increase brand awareness, and so on. I have experience working with a multimedia design company where I was shown the ropes of graphic design and content creation. Through this experience, I took on the role of managing social media pages and campaigns and website management (Wordpress). My skills include, but are not limited to: Strong copywriting and copy-editing skills, top-notch oral and verbal communication skills, impeccable time management skills with the ability to multitask. I am adept at making genuine connections that help to spread the word about products/services that the target audience loves. In addition, I am organised and detail orientated, allowing me to handle multiple tasks at once and roll with the changes. My verbal and written skills are above par, when doing social media management I am able to craft copy that will engage with the audience and provoke action. As a marketing professional with over 5 years of experience reaching out to the public, I know what it takes to get people talking. In my current job as a business owner, I conduct brand outreach through various online social networks s well as by utilising the personal network of digital influencers I have cultivated over the years. I would love to be able to transfer these skills as a Social Media Coordinator for the posted company. My proudest accomplishment is when I turned a dying business that was on its way out into an established and credible business. I saw the opportunity in 2018 when Lollybands was just a Facebook page that delivered headbands to residents in the area. When they posted that they’re no longer operating, I saw potential in the brand and wanted to prove the power of social media, that a total revamp of the brand could receive a return on investment. I implemented an online store and Instagram page for the brand, expanded the product range, and collaborated with influencers such as Rachel Kolisi and Chloe Noelle. Through hard work and determination, I managed to turn a dying business into one that is now thriving and delivering products nationwide. This experience taught me what is important when it comes to social media and fueled my commitment to creating brands that inspire passion and advocacy. Please see attached my CV, however, I am happy to chat more about my experience and skills, should my CV not explain enough as it does not include all of my job experiences.
