I started my career in the banking industry, where I held a number of management positions. My job amongst other duties required that I train and develop new employees on company products, systems, policies, etc. This sparked my passion in teaching, therefore I pursued a change of career. I completed my honours degree in Organisational and Industrial Psychology (completed) and then registered for a Postgraduate Certificate in Education (still in progress). These two qualifications have assisted me to understand different individuals better and to have an accommodative approach for different learners. I am currently employed by Unisa in the Counselling Department and I enjoy my job as I get to be involved with learners from different schools communities. I get to engaged with the learners on an educational level, where sessions on career guidance, computer skills, study skills, exam preparations and so forth are carried out on a regular basis.
