m a 32 year old female that had been employed in the financial industry since 2008, 11 years in Absa and 2 years in African Bank. In my 11 years with Absa Bank I have built up a lot of experience in different departments, from retail, where I also assisted as a teller, customer service clerk and host in my spare time and then moved to business bank. I started as a Receptionist and got promoted to a Personal assistant in Regional office. After a few months as a PA, I then moved to a Branch Administrator role in Retail Banking. Within 2 years of fulfilling my role as a BA, I was approached by the branch manager whom requested me to apply for a Sales Consultant role, also in Retail…and started in that role in January 2014. Shortly after I was appointed in the sales role, I also completed my RE5 exam. In March 2015 I got an opportunity, as a Business Support Administrator in Commercial Banking and have been fulfilling that role for more than 3 years. I worked very close with staff in various roles. In this time as BSA, to up skill myself; I did a range of credit workshops (although it wasn’t in my scope). In my 3 and a half years as a Business support Administrator, I ‘ve implemented new initiatives to make things around the working area more efficient and financially savvy and I always had a very good Performance rating. In 2018, I completed my NQF 6, advanced certificate in Banking. All my previous positions consisted of a lot of customer and staff administration, secretarial and personal assistant duties, as well as Sales in the branch environment. In my role as a branch administrator, I had to manage the financials, budget, income and expenditures of the branch as well as ensuring compliance to the legislative and process requirements amongst staff. During my role as a sales consultant, I was ranked no 1, as the best performing consultant in the branch and 3rd in the region. I’ve also received numerous awards for service excellence. At the end of 2018 I got approached by African Bank for a Branch Manager. I saw it as an opportunity to grow and I accepted the offer. In my first 3 months with the new bank, I already had fantastic achievements and got awards in two different categories – Best performing Branch Manager in the Northern Cape for credit sales as well as best performing Branch manager in growing the new Customer book. I have ended my first year with African bank on a very high note with an outstanding performance rating, But it didn’t end there, in my 2nd year with African Bank I took the award once again for best performing Branch Manager in Credit Sales and 2nd place in the Northern Cape for overall KRA/performance rating. I have a passion for admin and sales and providing solutions to my clients. I Enjoy taking on challenges and explore new possibilities. I am a very fast learner and choose to work independently. I am hard working, reliable and honest person and I take pride in what I do. I am someone that you can always depend on and deliver the best service when given a task. I believe in doing things right the first time and to work very accurately and finish tasks on time. I am always willing to provide assistance when needed and love to be creative and give new ideas and initiatives. My work is my pride and I always ensure to leave things better than the way I found them.
