I, Jonathan Shane Ontong, am a 23 year old male with a love and passion for the natural environment. I currently have a National Diploma in Game Ranch Management. I am a conscientious worker in all my tasks. I derive my work ethic from the creed of my high school (Kimberley Boys’ High School) – Per laboures ad honoures, which means through hard work one will receive honour. I dedicate myself fully to what I am tasked to do and am willing to learn. I have received several awards for music, service to the school and a speakers award. I am happy and willing to help others. Serving in music and drama has exposed me to a variety of different people and has also thus developed my communication skills and grown my confidence levels. My peers have described me as being joyful and committed to my tasks. Being a member of several bands has taught me discipline and perseverance which has branched into my other responsibilities. When performing, working with colleagues or guests or doing any other task, it is important to keep to a level of professionalism. Working as a junior game ranger has given me exposure to the lodge tourism industry, specifically, game management, guest relations. I work well with guests. The key is to make guests feel welcome and comfortable. I have a love and passion for serving our God, our environment and music. I look forward to working with you.
