I did matric at a technical high school. I completed my apprenticeship and qualified as fitter and turner at Olifantsfontein. I worked as fitter and turner underground at the gold and coal mines and at Eskom, Kriel Power Station and at the saw mill. I moved through the ranks as engineering assistant, senior engineering assistant, section planner, technical officer, senior technician (mechanical). I gained project management experience as project engineer and field service manager. I have knowledge of NEC contracts. Projects were successfully completed within time, without safety incidents, at high quality standards and within budget to the satisfaction of the client / customer. I am conversant with the tendering process, estimating, cost control, materials requirements, manpower requirements, transport requirements, accommodation requirements and site establishment.
