I am a hardworking and dedicated honours Statistics student at the University of Stellenbosch. I especially enjoy data mining problems since I see any difficult analytical problem as a challenge. I am passionate about using data science as an instrument for understanding how the world works – one observation at a time! My postgraduate Statistics degree has given me knowledge about different types of data, a deep understanding of the different approaches in handling data problems and excellent analytical skills with which to consider any issue. Since my degree was focussed on management consultancy, our many group assignments have given me much experience in organisation, time management and communication. My economics background enables me to think about real-world problems in a rational and logical way and my time in China has taught me a great sense of independence and sculpted me into a confident, strong woman.
