I am a long-time academic with research and teaching experience at universities in South Africa and Australia, Britain, and the United States. I am the author of numerous scholarly books and book chapters/journal articles books; have an international certification in advanced higher degrees by research supervision (which includes analytic, grammatical and stylistic copy editing) and have been a senior (freelance) copy editor for the South African Human Sciences Research Council (HSRC) and the HSRC Press.
