A dynamic woman of incredible tenacity, creativity and high energy with over 20 years of experience working within different sectors like mining, charity organisations, community development, government, research, corporate, advertising. A virtual admin support entrepreneur. Just touching on my extensive experience, I worked at Sanlam in the IT Infrastructure Shared Services department on several contracts as an Executive Personal Assistant and as the Disaster Recovery Officer. I ended my last 8-month contract as an IT Projects Administrator, consisting of coordinating meetings, dashboards, action logs, updating SharePoint and daily minute taking. In 2017, I was the event organizer for the Eskom Expo for Young Scientists (Stellenbosch) which is a science fair for 300 (mostly) high school children. Also, I started a charity organisation in Bellville and managed those programs. The last 6 months of 2018, I worked at SWEAT as the projects officer to ensure that all actions as per their funding memo were delivered as promised and did so successfully. Previous jobs held was as Personal Assistant to the CEO and COO of Overberg Water Board. I was responsible for all the Board matters and managed the Corporate Office based in Somerset West. Confidentiality and integrity always a high priority. I worked for a few high-status people e.g. personal assistant to Dr Frene Ginwala when she was the Speaker of Parliament. My long-term employments were at the Medical Research Council for 7 years as Senior Office Administrator and at Afrika Tikkun for 4 years as Administrative Manager, then promoted to National Systems Development Manager and then Human Resources Officer servicing over 600 staff. My various experience working in HR availed me the opportunity to engage with staff on many platforms including negotiating with unions, performance evaluations, recruitment and induction, grievance processes and disciplinaries. As well-being officer, safety rep and the employee voted trustee rep, my colleagues trusted me to care for them and transformed a local community centre through corporate social initiative projects. My various employments built my character and developed me extensively. It gave me an eye-opener into how different systems and operations work and now consider myself to be a highly skilled all-rounder. As an energetic hands-on people’s person, I work well in a team, enjoy meeting new people and I believe that communication and respect is the essence of working successfully with people. As a qualified life skills coach practitioner and trained well-being officer, people comfortably lean to me for guidance. I hold exceptional database and organizing skills which, along with my project management training, I incorporate into my daily work operations. The principles of customer-centric service remain my focus.
