I qualified as a surveyor in 1999 when I obtained a diploma in Land Surveying from the Harare Polytechnic College. I am a chartered member of the Royal Institution of Chartered Surveyors having qualified on the 15th of August 2018 (Membership No. 6730903). I am registered with the Council of Land Surveyors of Zimbabwe as a Land Survey Technician since the year 2001. I have been continuously employed as a surveyor since the year 2001, firstly with a land surveying consultancy firm Eastern Land Surveyors and now as a senior surveyor with Africa Surveys Zimbabwe (PVT) LTD since the year 2006 to date. Over the years I gained vast experience in and became competent in cadastral surveying. Eighty percent of the projects I have executed along the course of my career have been cadastral surveying projects. I also gained experience in engineering surveying, topographical surveying and mapping. I am well versed with several laws that govern the registration of real rights in land in Zimbabwe. These include, but are not limited to, the Land Surveyors Act (27:06), the Land Survey Act (20:12), the Regional, Town and Planning Act (29:12) and the Deeds Registries Act (20:05). I am an expert in the execution of old township surveys, new township surveys, sectional title surveys, boundary resurveys, large and small scale farm subdivisions and mining lease surveys. I am well versed with old and new surveying techniques including the use of modern surveying equipment. Since the year 2001 I have executed and delivered more than one hundred, big and small title surveying projects which have been examined and approved by the Department of the Surveyor General. I have delivered eleven separate farm subdivisions for the government’s land redistribution program. I have also delivered eleven new townships with more than 500 units/lots each, for local authorities and private developers. I have undertaken numerous boundary resurveys for farms and smaller pieces of land to solve boundary disputes and for boundary confirmation. I executed numerous sectional title surveys in and around Harare for a reputable bank and private developers. From the year 2006-2009 I was seconded to a new platinum mine project as a project surveyor. I was responsible for establishing site control, topographical surveys, setting out, underground surveys and other on-site surveying tasks. I also helped train and supervise four land surveyors in training and three land survey technicians to date.
