I am 27-year-old and just completed my http://www.******.***. at the NWU Potchefstroom campus. My http://www.******.***. focused on the Diatom types of Kidd’s Beach in the Eastern Cape. I completed my http://www.******.*** in Environmental and Biological science (Botany and Zoology) degree in 2016, and I completed my http://www.******.*** Hon in Aquatic ecosystem health in 2017. In between my studies I gained at least 3-4 years of work experience in different fields which includes the following: Vacation work at Shangoni Management Services in April of 2014. Where I learnt a bit about writing am environmental management report. Vacation work at NviroTek Lads in their soil analysis section in the June of 2014. From 2016 till 2019 I have been a demonstrator for Botany practicals for the NWU and Unisa. Lab assistant at the African National Diatom collection for 4 years covering a variety of tasks that includes; making slides, ordering supplies, data entering, archives, training, assisting with microscopy and repackaging of the diatom collection’s slides. Chairperson of the NWU Potchefstroom Rock climbing club for 2 years where I learnt management skills. My focus was not only on gaining job experience during my studies, I also produced a healthy academic output that includes the following: One international poster at the annual Diatom symposium in Québec: Titled, Diatom types of REM Archibald from Lake Sibiya, South Africa. One national poster at the South African Association of Botanists Annual Congress in Quaqua: Titled, Temporal changes in the littoral diatom assemblage of Kidd’s Beach South Africa. One paper published in the journal Diatom Research: Titled, Diatom types of REM Archibald from Lake Sibaya and Lake Nhlange, South Africa. In addition, I also completed the following: A Short course on: Ectothermic Vertebrates Handling and Ethics at NWU Potchefstroom. A Short course in: English for Academic Purposes (CEF Level C1) at NWU Potchefstroom. Taking the above into account I am a hard worker that can cope under pressure and still function and produce excellent quality worked. I encourage myself to learn new skills and are open to change. I am dedicated to my work and try to do whatever the task, to the best of my abilities. I am a fast and knowledgeable learner which is driven to perfection, and ensures that detailed work is produced. I have excellent interpersonal and communication skills. I can easily work in teams and have the ability to develop a strong working relationship with people from diverse backgrounds. I am able to think of innovative ideas for problems and have the ability to do research to ensure that the ideas will be practical. I am also able to present my research in multiple formats, weather is in a report, presentation, or a poster. I have a great passion for the environment and sustainable management thereof. Thus, it will be a great privilege to be part of a company that share this passion.
