I am a professionally registered mechanical engineer and project manager. I have a varied experience ranging from operations, mechanical engineering design and engineering management, and maintenance, to project management and engineering, construction, and consulting. I have spent the majority of my career in the EPC & EPCM projects environment, and have worked in the steel making industry, in EPC & EPCM mining projects, FIBC, and operations (particularly copper, gold, iron, platinum & PGMs, and diamonds). Most of my project experience has been in South Africa, Mozambique, Angola, Brazil, the DRC, Namibia, Gabon, and Lesotho. I am fluent in English, Portuguese, Spanish, and Afrikaans; and conversant in French. I have excellent communication and management skills and am proficient at bringing various groups of different disciplines and cultures together to accomplish our goal. I am proficient in a number of software programs from Primavera P6, and AutoCAD to the more ordinary office type software (MS Office, particularly Excel and Word). My skills as a mechanical engineer are also very good, particularly with regards to structural, piping, materials handling and general mechanical mechanism design. I believe that I would be an asset to any organisation and hope to hear positively from a potential client or employer.
