During my career, I have gone far and beyond my Safety Officer duties as prescribed in the MHS Act, in an effort of continuous improvement and company growth. I have vast experience with DMRE inspectors, their random visits and inspections, in-loco inspections, investigations and group audits. Within my position I will take lead and start the drafts of Section 54 and 55 presentations, Mandatory COP’s, baseline and issue based risk assessments, procedures and assessments on procedures and Mandatory COP’s including annual ISO compliance audit and verification dealt with by DEKRA. As part of being in SHEQ, it is of utmost importance to me to assist the Employer in that systems, documents, and processes are in line with the Mine Health and Safety Act, and other relevant legislation and standards to ensure losses are prevented, minimised and controlled.
